Aldi Schools Competition

We would be grateful if families could drop in any stickers collected from shopping in Aldi to the school. There are huge prizes available for sports equipment for the winning schools.
Headlice
There have been a number of cases of Headlice reported to the school this week and we ask all parents to ensure that all children are checked and treated this weekend in order to eradicate the problem.
Enrolment
We are now taking enrolments for the 2019/2020 school year. The Board of Management have asked us to notify parents that we have large class numbers leaving our school over the next few years and to guarantee retention of teacher numbers we need all parents to help promote the school and to try entice new families to our school. Our schools opening and closing times are a huge benefit to parents and could be a major factor for new parents deciding on a school for next September.
School Building
The Board of Management have also asked us to inform parents that we officially received our grant of planning permission letter from the county council in December. Our application has been forwarded to the Department of Education for financial review. We are awaiting an update on funding from the Department of Education.
Clothes Recycling:
The next Clothes Recycling collection is on Friday 8th March. Clothes can be dropped into the school from now onward. We ask you to spread the word to neighbours, friends and families.

Tipperary All Time Greatest:
The people of Mullinahone and surrounding areas would love if families would log on to www.tipperarylive.ie to vote Charles J. Kickham as “Tipperary’s All Time Greatest”.
The contest to find the Tipp All Time Great organised by the Nationalist and Tipperary Star is now reaching boiling point. Into the semi-finals are 1916 patriot Thomas MacDonagh, Thurles Sarsfields and Tipperary hurler Jimmy Doyle, iconic Clonmel tenor Frank Patterson and legendary Mullinahone native Charles J. Kickham.
In the semi-final Thomas MacDonagh will take on Jimmy Doyle while Frank Patterson faces up to C.J.Kickham.
In his quarter final C.J. saw off the challenge of the famous Carrick-on-Suir native and GAA legend Maurice Davin. Now the people of Mullinahone would love to see C.J.K. reach this strange county final. Kickham has always meant a lot to Tipperary.
