Junior Infants September 2017                                 

We welcome seven new junior infant pupils this year. 

School Calendar 2017-2018

September:   School re-opens for pupils on Thursday 31st August 2017

Hallowe’en Break:   School closed on Monday 30th  October to Friday 3rd November inclusive.  School re-opens on Monday 6th November.

Christmas Holidays:   School closed Monday 25th December to Friday 5th January inclusive.  School re-opens Monday 8th January 2018.                            

Midterm February.  School closed Thursday 15th and Friday 16th.   School re-opens on Monday 19th February.

March:              School closed for Bank Holiday Monday 19th March.

Easter Break:    School closed Monday 26th March to Friday 6th April inclusive.  School re-opens on Monday 9th April.                    

May:                   School closed Friday 4th and Monday 7th May.

June:                 School closed Friday 1st and Monday 4th June.            

{Summer Holidays} School closing half day on Wednesday 27th June. 

 

 

 

1916 Centenary Flag Raising Ceremony

On Tuesday March 15th a group of parents, grandparents and friends joined students and teachers in Poulacapple N.S. to raise our tricolour.  

After enjoying a cup of tea and a chat, visitors were treated to a recital songs and poems from all classes.

This was followed by reading from the 1916 Proclamation and 2016 Poulacapple Children's Proclamation.

The flag was then raised by Mrs. Nora Larkin (Retired Principal), Mrs. Mary Meagher (Principal) and Mr. Michael O'Sullivan (Retired member of Armed Forces).

Everybody then joined in to salute the flag, with a lively rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann.

 

Poulacapple N.S.

Poulacapple N.S. is a 3 teacher mixed school in the parish of Mullinahone, Co Tipperary. The school is situated on the N76 (main Kilkenny to Clonmel road).
